Levent Gaşgil holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in institutional capacity development. Levent has almost 15 years of work experience and started off his career in consultancy, working in the scope of various social responsibility projects aiming to facilitate access to education for underprivileged children, working with local administrations and ministries in Turkey. He later moved into the field of international education and worked at Yaşar University in Izmir, Turkey as deputy director and then director of the international office between 2012 and 2017. During this time, Levent focused on process optimisation and team building, but also assumed responsibility for online and in-country marketing and student counselling.

Levent moved to Studyportals in 2017, working with universities in the UK, Turkey and the Middle East to increase international recruitment and optimise recruitment processes. Levent specialises in localised marketing strategy, conversion optimisation and digital tracking and has delivered a number of trainings and conference presentations on these subjects. Levent is currently working at Studyportals as Business Unit Director, coordinating the sales and delivery process of online student recruitment campaigns for international universities in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
