This webinar touches on a new report from Studyportals and Unibuddy which identifies 17 new recruitment markets for universities, based on growth and student interest, to help universities diversify their international student bodies. Dr. Carmen Neghina, Senior Marketing Analytics Consultant at Studyportals is joined by David Di Maria, Senior International Officer & Associate Vice Provost for International Education at University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Brad Farnsworth, Principal at Fox Hollow Advisory to look at practical ways that universities can find new opportunities through diversification.

A new report from Studyportals and Unibuddy, focuses on diversifying source countries in the context of broader diversification. It provides insights into the behaviour and aspirations of students in 17 countries that might be interesting for universities based on growth and student interest. For these 17 countries, the report identifies the fastest-growing destinations and subject areas, key demographic factors, and student concerns across 6 categories, from money to admissions.

David is Senior International Officer and Associate Vice Provost for International Education at the University of Maryland. He leads the internationalization strategy and oversees the programs, services, and activities of UMBC’s Center for Global Engagement.

Brad is Principal at Fox Hollow Advisory. He has over three decades of experience as a campus leader, instructor, and association executive. Brad is an expert on international higher education policy, including skilled immigration, research funding and regulation, and international student recruitment. He was the former Vice President of American Council on Education, where he was responsible for several programs, including the Internationalization Collaborative, the Institute for Leading Internationalization, and engagement with the Washingtonbased diplomatic community. Since then he has led and advised on dozens of strategic planning projects that cover all aspects of campus internationalization. He is also responsible for implementing the Cenyer’s fundraising strategy.
